Die Young Boys und Stürmer Alexander Gerndt gehen getrennte Wege und haben den noch ein Jahr gültigen Vertrag per sofort aufgelöst. Der 31-jährige Schwede wechselt zum FC Lugano.

Gerndt war im Februar 2013 vom FC Utrecht zu den Young Boys gekommen und erzielte für die Berner in 98 Super-League-Spielen 26 Tore. Insgesamt schoss er für YB in 108 Ernstkämpfen 30 Treffer.

Der BSC Young Boys bedankt sich bei Alexander Gerndt für sein grosses Engagement in den letzten viereinhalb Jahren und wünscht ihm für die private und berufliche Zukunft alles Gute.
